  • 2420 Channing Way Berkeley, CA, 94704 United States (map)

STart CAMP — offers three projects each week and is designed to engage CAMPers entering grades K-5. In this program, CAMPers rotate in small groups to each of the three multi-medium art projects every day and Body Movement & Games, all five days of the CAMP week. This is a structured environment that offers developmentally appropriate challenges and levels of materials usage for young makers and artists, and is well-suited to the creative needs of these ages. With a 1:5 staff to CAMPer ratio, your child will have plenty of support to complete projects.

Mixed Media Madness - CAMPers learn that art can be just like a potion- with all the different types of mediums! We will explore the multitude of materials out there to create a mixed pot of art. From decopague and collage, to sculptural paints and... cake? You bet! Artist: April Gavin

Animals and Botanicals - In this class we will learn how to draw animals and botanic elements found in nature such as plants, trees, flowers, etc and have fun fusing these two subjects together to create our “Botanimals”! We will use a variety of mixed media such as watercolor, ink pens, markers, colored pencil, stamps, and basically anything we want to help bring our creations alive! Teaching Artist: Jennifer Linderman

It’s a Small World, After All! - In this class we will be utilizing found objects, paint and sculpey to create colorful miniature worlds fueled by our imaginations. Each day we will be conceptualizing and creating elements that will culminate in a small diorama that each camper can take home. Teaching Artist: Joel Skavdahl

We also offer AM (8am - 9am) and PM (3pm - 6:00pm) Extended Care for an additional fee.
